Hydropower trade fair

On 30 and 31 March, the Messezentrum Salzburg will be the meeting place for the hydropower industry.

Information platform for suppliers and customers

Planners, operators, manufacturers, investors and suppliers will use the opportunity for a professional exchange and new business contacts. Associations and authorities offer the opportunity to obtain first-hand information.

Programme hihglights

Already the opening with the energy talk “Secure supply and independence through hydropower! What are the next steps?“ among others with Florian Streibl (parliamentary group leader of Freie Wähler Bayern) and Dr. Jürgen Schneider (head of climate and energy section of the BMK Austria), promises an up-to-date introduction to the topic.

In addition, the panel discussion “One year energy crisis: What’s the status quo of hydropower?”, in which representatives from Germany, Italy and Austria attracts interested visitors.

An unconventional approach to the topic energy crisis and energy turnaround will be provided by the keynote “Climate crisis finally solved” by science buster Martin Moder, also on the first day of the trade fair.

On Friday, 31 March, the chairpersons of the companies Oekostrom AG, Austrian Power Grid AG and Wien Energie GmbH will be discussing the topic: “The energy turnaround is visible. Creating acceptance as a challenge.“

Operators day

In cooperation with the hydropower associations Kleinwasserkraft Österreich, Landesverband Bayerischer Wasserkraftwerke LVBW e.G., Vereinigung Wasserkraftwerke in Bayern e.V. and the province of Salzburg an operators day on the topic “Promotion and expansion of hydropower” is organized on Thursday, 30 March.

Small hydropower in Africa and EU legislation

EREF (European Renewable Energies Federation) and WIP Renewable Energies will present six projects in Cameroon and Uganda as part of the EU project “HYPOSO”. At the matchmaking event, interested European companies and African project managers meet for the implantation of the presented hydropower projects.

In a workshop on 31 March EREF will provide updates from Brussels and information on the new EU hydropower projects "ETIP Hydropower" and "PEN@Hydropower".

You can look forward to two promising and forward-looking days in Salzburg at the end of March. Tickets and information on exhibitors and the detailed programme can be found at: www.renexpo-interhydro.eu
