Renexpo Interhydro

The hydropower trade fair taking place on 25th & 26th November in Salzburg is acknowledged by Euorope’s hydropower experts for it’s connection and networking character. Naturally, the core benefit of the trade fair is provided by opportunities to share experiences and knowledge about the planning, construction, operation and servicing of hydroelectric plants, to witness shows of completed projects, and showcases of plant components and innovations. The Renexpo turbine is given an additional boost by a sophisticated, two-day programme of side events. After the opening speech by Eleonore Gewessler (BA), Austria’s minister for climate protection, environment, energy, mobility, innovation and technology, there will be a fascinating expert panel discussion: ‘Hydroelectric as a foundation for the transition to renewable energy: Will our energy legislation do this issue justice?’ The Hydroforum stages numerous presentations and panel discussions, and sheds light on the myriad approaches, perspectives and frameworks governing the issues surrounding hydroelectric power. Moreover, alongside the two expo days there will be a hydroelectric congress dealing with the following theme blocks:

Hydropower & sediments – Thursday, November 25th

Hydropower & storage – Friday, November 26th

Aquatic ecology – Friday, November 26th

Hence, this year’s Renexpo Interhydro is sure to make major waves in the small-scale hydroelectric segment as we set sail towards a new, innovative and environmentally friendly future!
